Description

of square section, the gently tapering sides each carved with two archaistic taotie masks, rising to a steeply tapered neck carved with a band of upright lappets set with a pair of elephant-head handles suspending loose rings, the key-fret border at the mouth matched by the squared-section cover topped with a knop finial, all set upon a tall flared foot similarly carved with a band of taotie masks above a key-fret border

Condition

The overall condition is very good. The patina has natural age stains.
