Description

the slender stone of translucent white tone with natural veining, intricately carved in the shape of a recumbent praying mantis intertwined by a leafy branch, its head and folded wings cleverly carved through the russet skin, the underside with delicate legs tucked in openwork below its well-articulated abdomen

Condition

The overall condition of the jade mantis is very good with only a minute chip to the tip of the tail and the wing. The russet skin has been enhanced through dyeing. The white jade is especially white.
