one carved with camellias in relief, the hook formed as an archaic style dragon's head, the other carved in relief with a figure in front of a grotto to each clasp

Rothschild Collection (first buckle).
Condition
Belthook with figures: with the exception of a 4mm chip to the arm of the figure on the buckle and two flakes (approx. 4mm and 3mm) to the edge of the reverse and small nibbles and bruises to the edges of the carving, this belt hook and buckle is in fair condition.
Belthook with camellias: this belthook and buckle is in very good condition with the exception of a 1cm bruise to the top right petal of the camellia of the hook, ajd tiny nibbles and bruises to the edges and carving.
