Description
- Ink and colour on silk
ink and colour on silk, mounted as a handscroll, depicting a hunting scene with figures on horseback
Provenance
Christie's New York, 24th September 1988, lot 29.
Condition
This hand scroll is reasonably good condition, but it has come off its mount towards the right end of the scroll. The work has been re-mounted and restored at some point. There are restorations to the area surrounding the figures in the water. There are also numerous repaired horizontal and vertical splits to this area. There is also some repaired horizontal and some vertical splits to the front horseman and to the other group of three and four horseman towards the left side of the scroll. There is also areas of light staining and surface dirt throughout the work0
