Description

  • Album of wood block prints
ink on paper, forty-six images depicting rice cultivation and other images of daily rural life, mounted as an album, bound within a silk cover, with six pages of text and three red seals

Condition

The album is in good overall condition with the exception of a crescent-shaped stain to the top of each page (circa 15 x 3.5cm) and two oval stains (5 and 7cm) where the pages meet (all visible in the catalogue illustration), light foxing to all pages, short breaks to the top and bottom of some pages where they are concertinaed together and one page has almost become detached from the next. There is rubbing to the silk binding especially around the edges of the front and back.
