A fine example of Italian design. Some minor rubbing to bronze and verdigris to top of both sides as visible in catalogue illustration. Minor old marks and scratches commensurate with age. Interior is dusty where the bulb is fitted where there is also some flecking to the white paint, not visible without very close examination. The pedestal with minor nicks. A couple of shallow chips to the glass, most noticeable to second panel in at just above half height approximately 1cm at its widest point. This lamp is currently not wired and not tested or guaranteed for electricity. An impressive sculptural piece.

In 1954 Max Ingrand was nominated the artistic director of Fontana Arte. The current lot is testimony to Ingrand's talent to create sculptural objects.
