Catalogue Note
This poetical miscellany, issued monthly, was originally conceived as a supplement to Dodsley's Collection, and includes many new poems by both the editors and their friends (Tickell, Hawkesworth, Brerewood, John Gilbert Cooper, Robert Lloyd, John Duncombe, Mary Leapor). Volume 11 has a full collection of poems by William Collins, and volume 12 a life of the same poet (pp.110-112 of which are by Samuel Johnson).
