8vo, first edition, first issue ("List of plates" with signature "b", p.213 misnumbered 113), frontispiece, vignette title-page and 14 further plates, 32pp. publisher's catalogue dated November 1859 at the end, original deep red morocco cloth, upper and lower covers decorated in blind with 88 figures and floral designs, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, pale yellow-coated endpapers, preserved in collector's quarter red morocco folding box, vignette title loose,hinges very neatly repaired, very occasional slighly spotting, very light wear to binding
