Description
- Document signed by William, Lord Burghley, Robert, Earl of Leicester, Sir Christopher Hatton, Lord Charles Howard, and the Earls of Lincoln, Warwick, and Bedford, appointing the Earls of Pembroke and Hertford and twelve others as deputy commissioners for Wiltshire to enforce a statute dated 1 March 1584 for the keeping of horses for service and breeding of horses, one vellum membrane (235 x 580mm), eleven vellum tags, five with complete or near complete red wax seal impressions, 14 August 1584, mounted on board backed onto red velvet, framed and glazed, small internal tear with loss of about six letters
