  • Series of 22 manuscript military reports, in German, addressed to an unnamed Duke
  • paper and ink
providing information concerning Napoleon's movements and the Allies' campaigns against him, including news of Denmark's declaration of war against Russia and Prussia, Napoleon's defeat at Leipzig and his return to Paris, the capitulation and liberation of Dresden, the capitulation of Stettin, Wellington's movements and those of other generals of the allied forces, including Bülow and Klenau and Field Marshal von Blücher, and mentioning many other matters; in addition to military news the reports also convey  information concerning the Prussian royal family, in particular that of the King,  c.65 pages, 4to, nineteen of the reports numbered (from "N.o 141" to "N.o 163"), written in the name of or by "Rabe", all apparently scribal with one possible exception (6 December 1813), Berlin, 26 October to 9 December 1813, unbound; with a manuscript copy of a proclamation dated Brunswick, 6 November 1813, 3 pages, a manuscript copy of a humorous concert notice, 1 page, and two other reports, in French, numbered "N.o 24" and "N.o 25", 6 pages, Mühlhausen and Heiligenstadt, 28 and 30 October 1813

Hätte der König noch 8 Tage damit Anstand genommen, so würde Er Napoleons Niederlage bey Leipzig erfahren und Sein System wahrscheinlich geändert haben...Heute verbreitet sich hier die Nachricht Lord Wellington befände sich in der Nähe von Bayonne und Napoleon sey für seine Person bey Mainz über den Rhein gegangen...
