  • Tin caddies
i) Large 10lbs tin, 255mm. high, inner flap, showing scenes from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland; ii) Medium 3lbs tin, 210mm. high, showing scenes from Through the Looking-Glass; both with off-set lithographed panels, worn, scratches and some loss, some rust, lid to second tin split at edge

Catalogue Note

Two tins for Mazawattee tea designed, decorated and manufactured at the Mazawatte works in New Cross, London (occupied by the firm from 1901 until destroyed in the blitz). The large caddy is extremely rare.
