Catalogue Note

Ronald Searle (b. 1920), artist and cartoonist, is best known as the creator of St Trinian's School and co-author of the Molesworth tetralogy. The present piece is a first version of an illustration for Jeffrey Archer's  Cat O' Nine Tales (published in 2006).
