Catalogue Note

Portuguese painter, illustrator and printmaker, Paula Rego (b. 1935) achieved significant worldwide recognition in the 1990s. A museum dedicated to her work opened in Cascais in Portugal in 2009. The present piece is a state proof before the published version within the Folio Society's 1992 edition of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan.
