Catalogue Note

An exceptionally fine copy in jacket of the second impression of the most influential poem in English of the twentieth century.

The first edition of The Waste Land was published on 15 December 1922. This second impression -- not the erroneously termed "second edition" of the colophon, since it was printed from the same setting of type -- appeared early in 1923,  limited to 1,000 copies.
