Catalogue Note

The artist Henry Moore drew the lithographs for this editon of Auden's writings between February and December 1973. As noted in the colophon they were proofed in London from plates by Stanley Jones at the Curwen Studios, and from stones and plates by Bud Shark at the Petersburg Press. Moore's final lithograph was drawn on learning of Auden's death on 29 September.
