Description
- A Marble Head of the Youthful Dionysos

- Height 6 in. 15.2 cm.
turned to his left, his centrally parted hair bound in a diadem, tied in a chignon over the nape of the neck, and surmounted by an ivy wreath with twin clusters of berries on top of the head, and by a vine wreath with ample leaves and clusters of grapes hanging over the ears, his face with parted lips and almond-shaped eyes.

Condition
Good and as shown. Tip of the nose restored in marble. Ivy leaves over the forehead fragmentary; other minor chips on the wreath. The back is in good condition.There is a drip of gilding or some other material on a stem of the wreath in back. Surface somewhat worn overall.
