  • Three Alabaster vessels

  • Diameter 4 1/4 in.; heights 5 and 5 3/8 in.
comprising an Egyptian Old Kingdom jar with broad rounded body and lid, a Near Eastern jar of ovoid form with rounded rim, and a Near Eastern jar of slightly flaring cylindrical form.

Condition

The Old Kingdom jar in excellent condition, a small chip on the edge of the lid (which may or may not belong); the ovoid jar with an ancient stress crack, and rim heavily chipped all the way around; the cylindrical jar with minor chips on the rim and a few ancient stress cracks, the surface appears heavily rubbed and the lip possibly polished down a little.
