Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant, with the blue tending more towards a deep turquoise and the red tending more towards a rich cherry red in the original. The grey hue to the right of the figure's face also tends more toward a dark brown in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are a few faint rub marks to the left side of the top extreme edge and to the figure's chin and one to the centre of the bottom edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
