Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the pink tends more towards baby pink and the orange to fluorescent orange in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the rich embroidered surface texture of the figure apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The wrinkling around the butterfly is inherent to the artist’s working process. There are extremely faint stretcher marks across the central horizontal axis and running intermittently down the left and right vertical edges. There are two tiny canvas protrusions: one towards the top right corner and the other towards the top left corner.
