Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accuratte, although the overall tonlaity is richer and deeper, with more saturdated colours overall in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey fully the rich surface texture apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The jute is attached to the backing board with staples around the edges. A few tiny material fibres have collected in the bottom of the frame. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
