Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much more vibrant in the original, with the red border tending more towards a vibrant orange and the red pigment to the centre of the composition tending more towards fuchsia.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is wear to the upper and lower left corners. There are some light handling marks to the extreme left edge of the composition. There are some losses to the black impasto in the centre of the composition and some light dust adhering throughout. There is some media accretion to the plastic label-visible in the catalogue illustration. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
