Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality it is brighter and more vibrant in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are some light handling marks to the extreme edges of the composition, two small parallel rub marks running approximately 10cm in from the centre of the left edge, and a further rub mark 20cm below this. There is a minute speck of media accretion to the upper centre of the left half of the heart and a few very light drips of media accretion visible to the bottom half of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
