Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the optical effect apparent in the original.
Condition:
Right Panel: There is damage to the surface with associated losses to the red plastic fins, the painted wood beneath and to the side of the frame in the lower right hand corner. There is a further smaller loss to the red fins above the centre of the lower edge.
Central Panel: There is a small area of loss to the red fins towards the left section of the top edge. Upon very close inspection there is minor flaking to some of the green painted vertical strips in the central right section of the composition.
Left Panel: There is a small loss to the red fins beneath the centre of the top edge. Some of the plastic fins in the central area are slightly warped. There are approximately 6 small media accretions scattered horizontally across the composition and other small surface irregularities elsewhere.
Please note the artist's studio have examined the work and have provided a complete and detailed treatment conservation report. Please refer to the department for further details.
