Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly richer and deeper in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey fully the three dimensionality and optical effect of the relief apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Throughout the relief there are scattered minute media accretions and pinhead-sized fly spots visible on close inspection. The white sections of the strips along the upper and lower horizontal margins have discoloured slightly over time. Dust fibres have collected between the strips and in places to the backing board. On close examination there are a few transparent horizontal surface irregularities to the strips along the lower edge.
