Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the white throughout tends more towards ivory in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Around the extreme edges of the work there are scattered spots of wear, a few fine light rub marks and a number of tiny isolated surface abrasions. On close examination there are a few further fine and unobtrusive rub marks in isolated places elsewhere, including: three extremely fine parallel rub marks in the lower left quadrant, four to the right of the signature and three further rub marks towards the lower part of the right edge in the lower right quadrant. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals thin lines of retouching to the lower right corner and along the right extreme edge, with further short retouchings to the lower, upper and left extreme edges.
