Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is richer and deeper in the original; the catalogue illustration fails to convey fully the rich surface texture and metallic iridescence of the sequence apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Upon very close examination there are a number of fine material fibbers adhering to the surface, original to the work's execution. There are four spots of inconsistent pigment: one to the upper centre of the left extreme edge, two at the centre of the left extreme edge and another towards the lower left corner on the lower extreme edge, all of which appear original. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
