The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is much brighter and more vibrant, with the green tending more towards a bright apple green and the red more towards a bright cherry red in the original.
This work is in very good condition. There is extremely minor wear to all four corner tips. There are three tiny fly spots to the top of the large chilli in the figure's hair and a further one in the left hand corner, all visible only upon close inspection. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light
