Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant, with the border tending more towards cream in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The sheet is attached to the backing board in several places on the reverse. The top and right edges of the sheet are deckled. There is a tiny speck of foxing to the top edge in the top left hand corner. There is minor wear to the extreme lower edge of the sheet with slight discolouration. There is a horizontal rub mark running along the centre of the figure's hair and a few further rub marks scattered elsewhere. There are a few spots of minute loss to the top of the figure's hand. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
