Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although there are more prominent green undertones in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey fully the three dimensional relief apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Some very light surface wear has occurred to the extremities of the relief, including the extreme corner tips and in places to the turnover edges. On close examination there is some fine craquelure in a few scattered areas to the resin layer. There is a small media accretion towards the bottom of the left extreme edge (visible in the catalogue illustration), and some light surface dust has accumulated under the bandages and in the crevices of the relief. Light discolouration has occurred over time to the resin and bandages, inherent to the artist's choice of media.
