Description
- Porcelain
each piece decorated with a shield monogrammed SB and a colorful flower swag border, comprising: a saucer dish, a waste bowl, a large saucer, a saucer, a teabowl, two coffee cups and a sugar bowl cover. 8 pieces.

Condition
Saucer dish – has a 2 inch rim haircrack at 5 o’clock. Has a ¼ rim chip and 1 inch crack at 1 o’clock. Has a 1 ½ inch rim haircrack at 12 o’clock. There is a minor rim frit at 3 o’clock
Large saucer – has an 1/8 inch rim chip extending into a 1 inch haircrack and another 1 inch haircrack to the rim
Saucer – has three 1 ¼ inch haircracks to the rim
Waste bowl – has a 1 ½ inch by 1 ½ inch section broken out of the side in two pieces and restuck – this runs across the monogram on one side. There is also a 2 ½ inch crack running down from the rim nearby. There are three further cracks to the rim of between ½ inch and 1 ½ inches.
Sugar bowl cover – has a 2 ½ inch by 1 ¼ inch C-shaped piece broken from the rim and re-stuck.
Teabowl – has one 2 inch and one 1 ¼ inch haircracks running down from the rim.
Coffee cups – one has a 2 inch haircrack running down from the rim on the front, the other is in good condition

Catalogue Note
This service was owned by Sarah Austin Barry (1754-1831), who in 1777 became the second wife of Captain John Barry of Philadelphia. The service descended in the Barry, Hayes and Hepburn familes, for whom see the note to lot 82 in this sale. Two teabowls from this service are in the Reeves Collection, one of which is illustrated by Litzenburg, p. 140, no. 130.
