Dutch market jug: cover lacking, the handle is restored at the top and where it joins the body. There is a 1/8 inch chip to the inner edge of the spout. The gilt ground is rubbed, and the blue and turquoise enamel grounds of hte medallions are misfired. Mexican market jug: cover lacking, the handle is restored and possibly made up.

Kroes, 2007, p. 157, cat. no. 65 illustrates a tea canister which he believed was the only known piece from this monogrammed service. The initials CS are for Cornelis Schippers, who was a member of the East Indiaman Nieuwvliet; he stayed in Canton from 1733 to 1734.
