A pair of Chinese Export Armorial Shell-Shaped Salt Cellars for the Dutch Market Circa 1763

with the arms of Nauta Beuckens and Swalue accollé.

The salt cellar shown on the left in the illustration has a foot which had been broekn off and restored with old restoration. There are a few minor frits to the handle and some minor rubbing to the gilt rim. The other sale cellar has a foot under the handle which had been broken and restored back on. There is restoration spray to the bowl directly above the foot, which perhaps covers a hole which was left by the previously pinned foot. There is minor wear to the gilding and some fritting to the handle.
