Two Chinese Export Armorial Plates Circa 1750 and 1765

comprising: a plate with the arms of Potter quartering Hinson; and another with the arms of Poyntz with Courtenay in pretence.

Potter: there are numerous 1/8 inch and less chips and frits to the rim edge and rim underside. There are some stacking wear and the motto is almost entirely rubbed away. There is a ½ in haircrack to the rim at 10 o’clock. Poyntz: There is a starcrack stretching from edge to edge in the center. There is a restored chip to the underside of the rim at about 11 o’clock. There are several other small ares of restored chipping around the rim edge. There is some crazing to the cavetto on the underside.
