Description

  • indian rosewood common mahogany (sweitenia mahogani)
  • Inlaid box 11cm. high, 38cm. wide, 22cm. deep; 4¼in., 1ft. 3in., 8¾in.
the lid with a central reserve inlaid with figures and foliate motifs within a geometric border, the interior with compartments and leather inset writing slope together with a small mahogany box, the interior fitted for playing cards (2)

Condition

The inlaid box is in good condition. The inlay is an with an interesting design. The interior is good but with signs of wear and scratches and marks throughout. The mahogany box is in good condition also with only light marks and scratches.
