The Victorian furniture for the Chapel at Chatsworth circa 1870

comprising an oak altar rail in three sections in the form of a three bar gate with uprights surmounted by trefoil motifs, together with a larger pair of pine Prie Dieu, a further smaller conforming pair of Prie Dieu, an oak rail and an oak and upholstered kneeling stool (9)

The alter rail is in good overall condition but would need a clean and a polish. It has only minor chips and scratches throughout. The larger pair of Prie Dieu are in good condition but in need of a clean and polish and both have detached bracket feet. The other, more decorative Prie Dieu is in good condition but one end is detached and one panel is partly missing. The kneeling stool is in fair condition but the upholstery is worn and torn and the remainder has many chips and scratches throughout.
