Description
- Gilt wood and gesso
- outer edge: 178cm. by 393cm.; 5ft. 10in. by 12ft. 10in.
in the form of a running guilloche and flowerhead pattern between cavetto moulded borders, each corner with a seperate ribbon clasp, losses (16)
Condition
The frames are dismantled and are in fair condition. The gilding is worn with a build up of ingrained dirt and chippig throughout. There are some cracks, chips and losses to the carved and moulded decoration, especially around the joins. The clasps are in distressed condition with damage and significant losses. Very decorative.
