- oil on copper, the reverse with old inventory number 9, in a carved and gilt wood frame
Provenance
Probably to be identified with 'Temptation of St.Anthony, a landscape, Teniers,' Devonshire House, In the Little Dressing Room, circa 1761 (see Literature);
Sent to Chatsworth after 1836.

Condition
The paint has faded and there are scattered areas of paint loss. The surface is dirty. Held in a gilded wooden frame.
