- Study for the head of a woman, head and shoulders, looking upwards
- oil on canvas, laid on panel, the backing panel branded with the hands and arms of the city of Antwerp, the 18th century carved and giltwood frame with Chatsworth number 588
Provenance
Devonshire House, recorded in the Marquess of Huntington's sitting room, no. 5, in the early 20th Century, and removed to Chatsworth 1919-20.
Condition
Canvas laid on three vertical panels. Joins visible. Paint surface damages along joins with other scuffs. Carved and gilt wood frame with knocks.
