gadroon borders, leaf capped handle, engraved with the Devonshire crest, the underside stamped 'GARRARDS Panton Street, LONDON', with five damaged glass bottles
Condition
The silver frame with some light surface scratches but otherwise in overall good condition, the glass bottles with some losses and chips, mainly around the necks or to the stoppers

Catalogue Note
Garrards were the preferred silversmiths to the 6th Duke and the accounts reveal constant payments to them. In 1824 for instance the invoice amounted to £268.19s. 6d.
