- walnut shell; gilt-metal; mirror glass; ivory (elephant) no symbol in catalogue so took out of bluebird. see list
with gilt-metal mounts, interior of lid with mirror, now containing associated 15 ct gold thimble engraved with stars, Charles Horner, Chester, 1898, ivory memorandum slips, gilt-metal pencil and miniature scissors, penknife, knife, fork and spoon, 4.5cm, 1 3/4 in. wide
Condition
upper shell cracked at front; ivory skips scribbled on; pencil mount has lost gilding and pencil is stub; original implements lacking; mirror discoloured.
