with the Doves of Pliny and gadrooned rim raised on a columnar stem and stepped base together with a carved figure, after Canova, head detached and a further carved alabaster triform plinth with leaf carved base and concave sides (qty)

Condition

The tazza: Tired condition and a very decorative object. 2 doves have had their heads re-attached and 2 doves have had their tails re-attached. Another dove is missing its tail section. All of the doves have chips to the extremities including beaks and wing tips. The basin has a hairline fracture. The column and base are generally good but have minor chips throughout. Would benefit from a clean and some restoration. The figure: Lacking its base and has had her head crudely re-attached. There is dirt, minor chips and wear throughout. There is a metal pin to the underside making this figure uneven when placed. The plinth: The piece has some cracks to the sides with chips and surface dirt throughout.
