Two black stone printing plates mid-19th century

one with a portrait of William Spencer Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire, the other with a view of Chatsworth, both worn and cancelled; together with a carved onyx paper weight in the form of a book with the Cavendish crest and ducal coronet to the cover together with a pietre dure Ashford marble pen rest inlaid with musical trophy, a Victorian figured marble pen tray, chips and losses, and a further pen rest, not illustrated (6)

The printing plates are very worn and the images are very faint. Scratches and chips throughout. The paper weight is in good condition but has scratches and chips throughout. The pietra dure pen tray is in fair condition with many chips to each division. The Victorian pen tray formerly had ink bottles attached, now lost. The remaining pen rest is in fair condition with chips to the edges and a perforation to the centre.
