Some of the items in this group are likely to have originally been at Compton Place, Eastbourne and could be possibly be those mentioned in the 1890 inventory of the house, p. 119. The vases and covers are in poor condition with extensive losses and damage. The candlesticks are in fair condition with chips, surface dirt and wear throughout. The baluster lamps are in good condition though the smaller one has a repaired base and both have minor chips throughout.
