with a moulded edge and carved in releif with ringed handles to both side raised on a pair of cavetto sledge feet, chipped

Chatsworth Inventory, 1892, p. 331 standing in the Ground Floor Corridor and described as 'a 16in pink porphry bath (model)'
Condition
Very attractive pink granite. The rim to one end has a large old chip and a repaired break. There is a filled in section to the middle of the rim on one side and a chip to the other side. One end has a hairline crack with further repairs and smaller filled in sections to the underside of the base. There is slight movement between the basin and the feet.
