George III portable ebonised pen and ink trays circa 1800

Fair condition. Two are missing their handles. All but two glass bottles are missing and the remaining two are missing their lids. Many scratches, marks, and chips throughout, separations to the joints and damaged or missing handles to the drawers.

These ink and pen trays, probably ordered in quantity by the 5th Duke, were used throughout Devonshire House, and appear regularly in the various 19th and early 20th Century inventories.
