A George III brass oil wall lamp circa 1800

the cannister shaped oil well with ball finial and pierced quatre-form motif with shaped drip tray and glass funnel shade

This lamp or one very similar is illustrated hung above the chimneypiece in the watercolour by William Henry Hunt dated 1822 of the Butler's Pantry at Chatsworth.

Good condition though tarnished and slightly mishapen. The glass shade is in good condition.
