Condition
Probably ordered by William Cavendish, 5th Duke of Devonshire (1748-1811) for Devonshire House;
Fair overall condition. MInor chips and bruises to cornice. Some losses and restoration to the beading between the doors. Losses to veneers to the left side flanking the drawers to the base. Losses to the waist moulding dividing the upper and lower sections. Losses to drawer and door beadings. Patche to inside right door beneath lock. General old marks and scratches. Good colour and patina. Lovely original gilt-brass handles.
