A turtleshell boulle bracket clock, French, circa 1715 and later (19th Century)

9-inch twelve piece enamel cartouche dial signed I Godde laine A Paris, the replaced 19th Century English bell striking fusee movement with anchor escapement and signed Henry, Berkeley Sqr., the waisted case surmounted by a seated female figure, foliate mounts throughout; with a matched bracket, the reverse of the pendulum crudely inscribed Duke of Devonshire / Blue Drawing Rm. (later the Red Drawing Room)

Dial in good condition, centre replaced when movement changed. Later English movement needs a clean, fusee line lacking from striking train and fly tied to prevent warning. Case and mounts are dirty but in generally good condition, some minor losses to inlay and veneers. The bracket probably associated and lacking some inlay and veneers to the left side, other old repairs. With pendulum and a winder.
