the square frame with and egg and dart border, with scrolled surmount and laurel festoons, on a later tripod base

Condition

Good overall condition, the pole is somewhat loose. The acorn finial is chipped. The crest brail to the frame has been re-attached. The red velvet s in fair condition with a few marks. The original green silk is very worn with extensive loses. The base is in generally good condition with one repaired joint. The frame is especially attractive and has carved and parcel gilt decoration to both sides.
