Condition
Fair condition but with a build up of surface and ingrained dust. The door surround has many light chips to the carved decoration and edges. The base of the cornice has some losses to the foliate decoration. The sides of the jambs have been cut to accommodate a dado rail. One of the jambs has a vertical split to the lower section and fragmentation and chips to the damaged area. The doors have stains and wear and would benefit from being cleaned and re-polished. There are slight separations around some of the joints and an elongated hexagonal patch to one upright. One door's moulding down one side is broken and virtually detached. The edge of one of the doors has been counter sunk, top and bottom, for bolts which are now missing.
